Since then, a huge crowd of devotees is being seen here. Krishna Thakur, president of the Hindu Society of PEI, says about the temple that it is truly incredible.

This Hindu temple has been opened on a rented space in Cornwall city. This part comes under the capital region. People are coming to visit from the state capital Charlottetown as well as the neighboring city of Stratford.

The President of PEI is from Nepal

PEI President Krishna Thakur is originally from Janakpur, Nepal. According to the report, the total Hindu population of PEI is around 1,800. According to Thakur, on the day of the inauguration of the temple, about 600 people came to the temple for darshan.

Talking further, Krishna Thakur said that in recent times, there has been an increase in the population of Hindus in the city along with PEI University. Society Secretary Nitin Rao belongs to the Indian state of Kerala.

Rao says that people have given a lot of love to this Hindu temple. The mayors of Charlottetown and Cornwall, including local MPs and members of the Legislative Assembly, were also present during the inauguration ceremony.

There is no permanent priest in the temple

At present there is no permanent priest in the temple. Mahashivratri The temple was inaugurated on the day by the society members with the help of some rituals learned from online tutorials. According to Rao, the temple has been inaugurated due to collective efforts and donations.
