New Delhi. In the Indian Premier League 2024, Rajasthan Royals performed strongly and registered another spectacular victory in the evening match played on Saturday. Batting first, Lucknow Super Giants scored 196 runs for 5 wickets, thanks to 76 runs by captain KL Rahul. Rajasthan captain Sanju Samson led the team to an easy victory by playing an unbeaten half-century. With this victory, his team has secured its ticket to the playoffs.
Samson and Jurel’s Fifty
Rajasthan Royals team chased the target of 197 runs set by Lucknow in a powerful manner. This was made easy by the fifty of captain Sanju Samson and young Dhruv Jurel. Yashasvi Jaiswal and Jos Buttler gave the team a good start. Butler was out after scoring 34 runs while Yashasvi was out after scoring 24 runs. Riyan Parag lost his wicket after scoring 14 runs. Dhruv Jurel along with the captain led the team to victory.
KL Rahul’s innings was useless
Lucknow Super Giants captain KL Rahul played a brilliant half-century against Rajasthan Royals. Batting first, the team scored 196 runs for 5 wickets in which KL Rahul’s innings was important. Scored 76 runs on 48 balls with the help of 8 fours and 2 sixes. Apart from this, Deepak Hooda scored 50 runs with 7 fours in 31 balls. This innings of the captain did not help in the team’s victory as Rajasthan won the match.
Rajasthan reached playoffs
Rajasthan team has become the first team to reach the playoffs. After playing 9 matches, this team has won 8 and secured 16 points. Sanju Samson’s team is the only one which has achieved this position. Apart from this, the bottom 4 teams Kolkata Knight Riders, Sunrisers Hyderabad, Lucknow Super Giants and Delhi Capitals are on 10 points each.
