In the world famous Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple, the doors of the temple were opened at 4 o’clock during the Bhasma Aarti early Thursday on the full moon day of Vaisakh Shukla Paksha. Pandey priest worshiped all the idols of Gods installed in the sanctum sanctorum and performed Jalabhishek of Lord Mahakal with milk, curd, ghee, sugar, Panchamrit and fruit juice. After this, Hari Om water was offered by ringing the first bell. After Kapoor Aarti, Baba Mahakal was made to wear a new crown, Rudraksh and Mund rosary.

The special thing about today’s adornment was that on the coincidence of Purnima Tithi and Thursday, Baba Mahakal was adorned in a royal turban in Bhasma Aarti. After the adornment, the Jyotirlinga of Baba Mahakal was covered with a cloth and burnt with ashes and food was also offered. Ashes were offered to Lord Mahakal on behalf of Mahanirvani Akhara. During this period thousands of devotees took advantage of the divine darshan of Baba Mahakal. Due to this, the entire temple complex resonated with the echo of Jai Shri Mahakal.

Donation of 100 kg of ghee received for the eternal lamp of Shri Mahakaleshwar Bhagwan

One quintal of ghee (100 kg) was offered by Swami Pranavpuriji of Shiv Shaktidham (Durgapur) and Shri Mahamrityunjay Math (Mahakal Lok) for the Akhand Jyoti (Nanda Deep) burning in the sanctum sanctorum of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple. Swami Pranavpuriji was honored by Administrator Mrinal Meena on behalf of Shri Mahakaleshwar Temple Management Committee.
