After the three phases of voting in the Lok Sabha elections, the campaigning of political parties has intensified. Leaders of different parties are accusing each other. In this series, Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and criticized his ‘fake child of Balasaheb’ statement. Thackeray said that he would not tolerate insult to his parents.
Uddhav was addressing a rally organized for his party’s Shirdi Lok Sabha seat candidate Bhausaheb Wakchore at Shrirampur in Ahmednagar. During this he said, the Prime Minister will give such statements on one hand. Then on May 17, during his visit to Mumbai, he will bow at the Shivaji Park memorial of the late Shiv Sena founder.
He said, at a rally in Telangana the Prime Minister said that he wanted to ask about Balasaheb’s fake child. Modi ji should fight with me, but I will not tolerate it if you insult my parents. Thackeray said the Prime Minister had no problem in collecting his signature during nominations for the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha elections, but now he was targeting his party.
