SA vs USA: Andrew Gaus, Harmeet Singh gave South Africa a breather, then this dangerous bowler turned the match like this

New Delhi. The US team may have lost a high scoring match against South Africa, but there was a time when the African team seemed to be out of breath in this match. The main reason for this is the sharp batting of US opening batsman Andrew Gaus and middle order batsman Harmeet Singh. At one point, the US team seemed on the verge of defeat but both of them together helped it come back in the match. Gaus played an unbeaten innings of 85 runs in 27 balls. Harmeet Singh hit 38 runs in 22 balls. Harmeet also took two wickets in two balls.

The US team needed 60 runs to win in the last four overs. Gaus was playing after scoring a half-century while Harmeet was also scoring runs fast. In the 16th over, both of them scored 10 runs with the help of a four. The 17th over was bowled by Tabrez Shamsi, which both of them thrashed very hard. In this over, both of them scored a total of 22 runs with the help of three sixes. In this way, the team now needed only 28 runs to win in the last two overs. It seemed that if they kept playing like this, the match could go in America’s lap.

Kagiso Rabada turned the match around
South Africa’s captain Aiden Markram looked tensed. He asked his main bowler Kagiso Rabada to bowl the 19th over instead of the 20th. This decision proved to be correct. He got Harmeet Singh caught out at square leg on the very first ball. From here onwards the match was just a formality. A total of two runs were scored in the 19th over. Seven runs were scored in the last over. In this way South Africa won the match.
