What is in the budget of Maharashtra Government?

The Maharashtra government announced the ‘Mukhyamantri Majhi Ladki Behan’ scheme for women in the 2024-25 budget presented on Friday. Under this, women in the age group of 21 to 60 years will be given a monthly allowance of Rs 1,500. The measures include three free LPG cylinders a year to families, electricity bill waiver for farmers, giving Rs 10,000 monthly allowance to youth for skill training.

This budget was presented four months before the assembly elections in the state. Maharashtra Deputy CM and Finance Minister Ajit Pawar presented a budget with a revenue deficit of Rs 20,051 crore for the current financial year.
