Noida International Airport News: Today Noida International Airport The site was inspected by Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, Durga Shankar Mishra. Developer Zurich Airport’s SPV Yamuna International Airport Private Limited informed that according to the development plan for the project, the work of completion of ATC building is going on by EPC contractor Tata Project Limited for the development of the airport.

By August, the building will be handed over to the Airport Authority of India for installing ATC equipment and the Airport Authority of India has informed that the work of installation of the equipment will be completed by September. Currently, the work of electric lights is going on on the runway and apron. Along with navigation equipment, glide path antenna and localizer have been installed near the runway.

Instructions to complete the work by September

On this, the Chief Secretary directed that all the equipment to be installed by the Airport Authority of India should be completed by September. During the inspection of the terminal building, the concessionaire informed that the work of the facade and roof is currently in progress and finishing work on the pier has been started.

The work of installation of automatic baggage handling system is in progress. The concessionaire also informed that 37 million safe work hours have been successfully completed so far. On this, the Chief Secretary directed that the development of the airport should be completed on time as per the milestones by September 2024 and the commercial operation of the airport should be started by December in any case.

Important meeting for Jewar airport

After the inspection, a review meeting was held. Points related to CISF, CNSAT, Security and DGCA for Jewar Airport were discussed in the meeting, in which officials of the concerned central agency participated. Instructions were given by the Chief Secretary that the concessionaire should take action as per the requirements of all departments and the prevailing rules and the problem should be resolved by the month of September.

Order to start commercial operation by December

The Chief Secretary directed that the commercial operation of the airport should start in December in any case. For this, hold a meeting with the concessionaire, Tata Project Limited and submit a catch-up plan by July 15. The Chief Secretary directed that the Forest Department should complete the work of the rescue center on priority.

CEO NIAL Dr. Arunvir Singh, District Magistrate Manish Verma, Nodal Officer of Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL) Shailendra Bhatia, CEO of Concessionaire Yamuna International Airport Private Limited Christophe Salmon, Chief Operating Officer Kiran Jain, officials of the central agency and CEOs of the Authority Kapil Singh and Vipin Jain were present in the inspection and meeting.
