Gurugram News Today: Monsoon has entered many parts of the state including Haryana. Gurugram Municipal Corporation has started a special campaign to deal with the problem of waterlogging during rains. Under this, a special helpline number has been issued to receive complaints of waterlogging and ensure quick solution on priority basis.
Complainants can register their complaints by calling the helpline numbers 7290076135 and 7290088127. This helpline number will be available 24 hours a day. Complaints can also be registered on the helpline number through WhatsApp along with photo, address and location.
The Municipal Commissioner made this appeal to the people
Municipal Corporation Gurugram Commissioner Dr. Narhari Bangar has appealed to the outgoing municipal councilors, RWA representatives and dignitaries to monitor the drainage arrangements in their areas. Apart from this, if there is a problem of waterlogging anywhere, then contact the assistant engineer and junior engineer of the concerned ward or on special helpline numbers.
The Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Gurugram said that strict instructions have been given to all the Assistant Engineers and Junior Engineers. During this time, they will attend the phone calls and if they are unable to attend due to any reason, they will call back when they get time. He said that during the rainy season, all the concrete arrangements have been ensured by the Municipal Corporation Gurugram so that the citizens do not face any problem due to waterlogging anywhere in the Municipal Corporation area.
Large number of manpower and machines deployed
On Friday (28 June), during the rains, the corporation employees were present in the field with adequate machinery, pump sets and other resources since morning. For proper drainage system, Municipal Corporation Gurugram has deployed 12 JCBs, 12 section tankers, 61 tractor mounted pumps, 25 diesel engines and adequate manpower in the corporation area.
Officers will ensure drainage in all wards
Apart from this, teams are continuously working in different areas for proper cleaning of all drains, sewers, roads and streets. During this time, officers will ensure drainage in all the wards. To ensure quick drainage in monsoon, responsibilities of assistant engineers and junior engineers have been assigned as per the ward. These officers will ensure drainage management in the allotted wards and extended areas.
