Oppo F1 A perfect selfie can be taken with the help of wide aperture and some easy software tricks from the front camera of the smartphone. Today in our review we will know whether this smartphone is a selfie based phone Asus And how different is it from other brands.

Look and design
Talking about the body and design of the phone, F1 looks great. With a metal body look, it gives the feel of a premium smartphone. The phone is very light with a weight of 134 grams. The phone fits very easily in the hand. The buttons are placed at the right place for easy grip. The volume rocker and power button are placed on different sides and work fine.

Talking about the front part of the phone, the 5-inch HD IPS display gives good colors indoors but the screen is not so clear in sunlight. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass for protection. There is a notification LED on the top right corner and capacitive buttons (without backlight) for navigation at the bottom.

Oppo F1 has a camera of 13 megapixel sensor with LED flash and aperture F / 2.2. The speaker grill is at the bottom. The phone has a non-removable 2500 mAh battery. Oppo F1 is available in Gold and Rose Gold color variants. The phone has a hybrid SIM tray on the right side, which means you will have the option to choose between a second SIM and a microSD card.

Talking about the physical features of the phone, we did not find any shortcomings in it. Oppo has designed the phone in a better way. The visibility of the phone’s display in daylight could have been better and the backlight in the navigation buttons could have made this phone even better. With Oppo F1, you will get a standard 5 watt charger, a silicone case, a headset and a booklet. The quality of all the accessories that come with the phone is good except the headset.

Specifications and software
The Oppo F1 smartphone is one of the first phones in the market to be equipped with the Snapdragon 615 processor. This new octa-core processor from Qualcomm is almost similar to the Snapdragon 615 processor but its clock speed is slightly higher.

Apart from this, this smartphone also has 3GB RAM and 16GB onboard storage. Storage can be increased up to 128GB with the help of microSD card. The phone has 4G VoLTE support on Band 1, 3 and 40. Talking about connectivity, features like Wi-Fi B/G/N, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG, FM radio and GPS have been provided. NFC support is not available in the phone.

The Oppo F1 smartphone runs on Android Lollipop. The phone has a single layer interface which can be customized with different themes and effects. Apart from this, this Oppo smartphone has options like monitoring data usage, Security Center to free up memory, O-Cloud for backing up contacts and messages, Kingsoft Office for working on documents and spreadsheets and Theme Store to customize the phone.

Performance
The general performance of the Oppo F1 smartphone is very good. The interface works smoothly and there were no lags in multitasking with apps. The phone works well on 4G and was good most of the time. But the phone gets heated up when using the camera during continuous video playback and video recording. We also did not face any problem with the call quality of the phone.

The benchmark figures of the phone were fine. There was no problem in the phone even during games. There was no problem in the phone even during games like Dead Trigger 2 and Alto’s Adventure. On an average, 2 GB RAM is available for apps in the phone.

The headset that comes with the Oppo F1 is of poor quality and doesn’t fit properly in the ear. But the audio quality of the phone is pretty great. There is no software to enhance the audio. The rear speaker is loud enough for alerts but since it is not a stereo speaker it is not fun while watching movies.

With the 13 megapixel camera of Oppo F1, we got clear and detailed pictures in daylight. The detailing of the pictures was good even in indoor light. But the pictures taken in low light were not very clear. We also saw the same problem with the videos recorded in low light. Many other camera modes have been provided in the phone including Expert Mode, Slow Shutter and HDR.

The most important feature of Oppo F1 is its front camera. The 8 megapixel front camera with a bigger aperture than the rear camera is excellent. Selfies taken with the phone in both natural and artificial light come with a lot of detail, but the quality deteriorates a bit in low light. Oppo has included some new features that allow people to take better selfies.

battery life
During our video loop test, the phone’s battery lasted for 8 hours and 53 minutes, which is quite good for a 2500 mAh battery. On the other hand, during normal use on 4G, we needed to charge the battery only after a day. But there is no fast charging support in the phone, due to which the phone takes a lot of time to charge.

Our verdict
Oppo F1 is a great phone at a price of Rs 15,990. The overall performance of the phone is good. The design and build quality of the phone is good. The general performance of the phone is also good and both the rear and front cameras give good quality pictures in almost every kind of light. The battery life of the phone is also quite good. If Oppo had provided NFC and navigation buttons with backlight in the phone, the phone could have been even better.

Oppo F1 competes with Oppo in this price range Asus Zenfone Selfie ,Review) The Asus Zenfone Selfie also has a decent camera but doesn’t have as many great specifications as the Oppo.
