Himachal Pradesh Lok Sabha Elections 2024: By-elections for four Lok Sabha seats and six assembly constituencies of Himachal Pradesh will be held in the last phase. Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu Lok Sabha Elections Along with this, he is also campaigning for the assembly by-election. On Wednesday, he campaigned in Bilaspur, Ghumarwin, Jhanduta and Bharari and sought votes in favour of Lok Sabha candidate Satpal Raijada.

Taking aim at his old ally and now BJP candidate from Barsar, Indra Dutt Lakhan Pal, Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said, ‘Six Congress MLAs and three independents sold themselves to BJP. Indra Dutt Lakhan Pal drank fresh juice with us for breakfast, I thought everything was fine, the Barsar MLA left saying that he had to cast his first vote. I would keep an eye on everyone, but he had already sold himself. His name has now become Indra Dutt Sold. There is opposition in the party, we also had it, but we never sold ourselves. We fought the battle by staying in the party.’

CM Sukhu also targeted the leader of the opposition

Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu also took the Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur to task. He said, ‘The wealth of the state was looted during the previous BJP government. Big mafias were prepared. They gobbled up the entire mineral wealth by installing crushers in Shukra and Pung Khad. Many such people pretend to be philanthropists but are engaged in earning money through corruption. By tightening the noose on such corrupt people, the government earned an additional revenue of Rs 2,200 crore in a year.’ The Chief Minister alleged that Jairam Thakur is the main mastermind behind the conspiracy to topple the Congress government.

Know what has been announced for women

He said that BJP is pressurizing the Election Commission so that women do not get pension of Rs 1500 each for the months of April and May till June 1. Bilaspur MLA Trilok Jamwal also protested against the pension by raising slogans. The Chief Minister said that BJP cannot stop the pension. He announced to release pension for three months together in June. The Chief Minister said that the state government has sought permission from the Central Election Commission to give pension to women for the months of April and May.

BJP is trying to get the Election Commission to stop the increase of Rs 60 in the daily wage of MNREGA workers. He also promised to give increased wages along with arrears. Chief Minister Sukhu announced that the government will bear the expenses of the education of children of widowed women till the age of 27 years.
