If you like to use a big phone like iPhone 6S Plus, then you will really find iPhone SE a little lighter. When we held iPhone SE in our hands for the first time, we were a little surprised at its lightness. It felt like we were holding a phone without a battery. iPhone SE, which weighs only 113 grams, feels very light in hand. Along with this, we feel that we have become accustomed to using big, heavy phones. But the design of iPhone SE can be called new and unique.
iPhone SE feels as premium as any other Apple device. But it is not like the iPhone 5C, the last time Apple tried to make an affordable phone. Nothing in the iPhone SE is made of plastic. The iPhone SE feels pleasant when you hold it in your hand. However, now metal finish and good design are not as difficult to find in budget and mid-range smartphones as it used to be a year or two ago. So it would be fair to say that iPhone SE is far ahead in terms of its design and body.
Talking about the physical dimensions of the phone, iPhone SE may give you the feel of iPhone 5S but when it comes to screen-to-body ratio, Apple’s problem still continues. All Android manufacturers offer big screens in their phones with multiple iPhone model sizes but iPhones this time also have a physical home button with Touch ID sensor. We also said this in our review of iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus. Now it remains to be seen whether this problem is solved in the upcoming iPhone models or not.
With the smaller screen on the iPhone SE, we felt that the keyboard would take up most of the screen while typing, leaving very little space for the actual content, but as you can see in the picture, this is not the case with the new small screen iPhone SE.
As usual, Apple hasn’t revealed the battery capacity of the iPhone SE. But the iPhone SE is claimed to last at least 13 hours when surfing the internet over LTE, compared to the iPhone 6 (10 hours) and iPhone 6 Plus (12 hours).
Apple says that the iPhone SE is designed to be used with one hand. Apple’s claim is true and we had no problem using the iPhone SE with one hand. Now it remains to be seen how many users will give up smartphones with big screens and big batteries for a compact device. Especially in Asian markets, customers favor pocket-sized ‘phablets’ with big screens and now it will be interesting to see how many users are able to be attracted to the iPhone SE which is more pocket friendly in many ways.
The price of iPhone SE will start from Rs 39,000 in the Indian market and it will be available in India from the beginning of April. Earlier, the company had said that the price of iPhone SE is Rs 30,000 but how many people like the phone with the new price tag will be known only in the coming time.
