Extreme heat in UP: Mercury will rise in Bundelkhand, Meteorological Department warns of heat wave and storm

The heat is at its peak in UP. Meanwhile, light rain or storm at some places has brought some relief but it will not be permanent. The weather department has issued a warning of severe heat in Bundelkhand and surrounding areas. On the contrary, there is a favorable system for rain along with dust storms at some places in the eastern cities, strong winds and thunderstorms in some parts. The weather department has also issued orange and yellow alerts for different cities of the state.

On Thursday also, there was heat wave effect in Bundelkhand only. The day temperature in Orai was 45 degrees Celsius and the night temperature was 28.2 degrees. Here the heat wave made people feel the scorching heat. Whereas in Jhansi the day temperature dropped from 45 degrees on Wednesday to 43.1 degrees Celsius. There was no change in the night temperature.

According to Atul Kumar Singh, senior meteorologist of the Zonal Meteorological Department, the maximum temperature in most parts of the state remains below normal. Because of this the heat of the sun is less. There is also relief from strong wind.
