Tesla Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Elon Musk is once again in the headlines. This time the veteran businessman is in the news due to allegations of ketamine drug use and alleged love affair with Google co-founder Sergey Brin’s ex-wife Nicole Shanhan. According to a report in an American newspaper, Musk was at a party with Shanhan in 2021 and both of them took ketamine together. The newspaper confirmed and gave information about this through eight different sources and documents.
According to the news, Shanhan hosted a birthday party in New York in 2022. Musk, a longtime friend of Brin, was also present in the party. Later that year, Musk and Shanhan came face to face at a private party hosted by Musk’s brother. At this party, the SpaceX founder and Shanhan allegedly used ketamine together and disappeared for several hours. Four people confirmed the incident to the newspaper. The New York Times confirmed the incident to four people.
Three of these sources told the American daily that Shanhan also confessed to Brin that she had sex with Musk and that she had allegedly shared the information with her friends, family and others. According to a report published in the Wall Street Journal in 2022, both Musk and Shanhan denied any affair. Last year, Shanhan rejected these claims and said that that night he was only discussing the treatment of Musk’s daughter and nothing else. Shanhan told People magazine that he faced international embarrassment due to the disclosure of the sexual relationship.
After this, Shanhan and Brin decided to separate. In 2022, both of them filed a case in the court for divorce. According to the news, the divorce process took about 18 months to settle. During this time, Shanhan also threatened to commit suicide. Only last year, both of them finalized the divorce.
