Bharatiya Janata Party has alleged that Odisha CM Naveen Patnaik has been imprisoned by his close ones. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma and Union Minister Giriraj Singh made these allegations. Now the BJP unit of Odisha on Thursday also appealed to the state DGP and Chief Secretary to release CM Patnaik from prison.
BJP made allegations in a press conference
Former Odisha BJP President Sameer Mohanty expressed surprise at a video of CM Patnaik in a press conference on Thursday. Actually this video has been released by BJD, in this video CM Patnaik is seen wearing a T-shirt and is appealing to the people to vote for BJD. BJP says that CM Patnaik is seen in a helpless condition in the video. Mohanty termed the video as defamatory. Mohanty said, ‘The way CM Patnaik has been shown in the video is shocking. In the video of BJD President, CM Patnaik is in a helpless state appealing to the people to vote for BJD, which is insulting to all of us.
Questions raised on the condition of CM Patnaik
Sameer Mohanty claimed that in the recent election campaign video, Naveen Patnaik is responding like a puppet under the influence of Pandian. In another video, VK Pandian is seen asking questions to CM Patnaik, in which Patnaik replied like a robot. Mohanty claimed that the situation is extremely dangerous. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma had said that ‘I am also the CM of a state and I can meet anyone whenever I want, the same happens with the CMs of other states, but Naveen Patnaik cannot meet anyone in private because VK Pandian is always present with him.
