Shadab Choudhary/Mandsaur: The work of the overbridge being built at the cost of Rs 30 crore at Sanjit Naka in the city has not been completed yet. The ground breaking ceremony of this overbridge was done in the year 2018. But even today, halfway through the year 2023, the work has not been completed. Therefore, people of more than a dozen villages including about 15 colonies are facing trouble every day. Residents living near the overbridge are forced to cross the tracks risking their lives.
The topic of discussion regarding the department and the MLA
This bridge is in discussions due to the claims of the department and the MLA. MLA Yashpal Singh Sisodia had given an ultimatum to complete the bridge work in March 2023, but the work could not be completed, then this matter was raised in the assembly house during the budget session. The departmental minister had claimed that the work would be completed in the month of June. Now after the promise of the MLA, the deadline of the departmental minister has also ended, but the work is still incomplete. Due to the railway station being close to Sanjit Naka, there is a lot of movement of trains here. In such a situation, people are crossing the railway track risking their lives.
The company was blacklisted
According to the information, the blacklisted company is facing the consequences of the officers’ favour. The company constructing the overbridge has been issued notices several times due to the delay, but no action has been taken even once. The company has even been declared blacklisted.
