Xiaomi is the most popular smartphone manufacturer in India today. In such a situation, Xiaomi fans have become accustomed to the constant launch of new handsets in the market. Now Redmi Note 8 Pro has launched in the market. Redmi Note 7 Pro ,Review) has replaced the older variant. The older variant was launched in March this year. Talking about the most important feature, the Redmi Note 8 Pro smartphone comes with a 64 megapixel rear camera. It has the new MediaTek Helio G90T processor. This chipset is made for gaming handsets.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro has been launched at a starting price of Rs 14,999. This price is for the 6 GB RAM and 64 GB storage variant. The price of the 6 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant of the phone is Rs 15,999. Its 8 GB RAM and 128 GB storage variant will be sold for Rs 17,999. Will Redmi Note 8 Pro be able to present a new strong challenge in the market on the basis of powerful processor and high resolution camera? We will get the answer to this question in a detailed review. But before that we have Redmi Note 8 Pro Spent some time with it. How did we like this phone at first glance? Let us tell you…

The Redmi Note 8 Pro feels like a big and heavy phone. It weighs 200 grams and measures 8.79 mm wide. Some people may not like this. Not everyone will like the shiny chrome frame that surrounds the body of the phone. At first glance, we also found it to be too reflective. The borders on the screen are very thin. But due to the waterdrop notch, you will not get a full-screen view.

The 6.53-inch full-HD+ screen on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro is bright and crisp. The phone has Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the front and rear panels. It comes with TUV Rheinland certification for blue light reduction.

The cameras on the back are in a vertical position. The larger strip is in the middle of the phone. There is a second strip to its right. The primary strip is slightly raised. It helps stabilize the phone when placed flat on a surface.

The fingerprint sensor is placed in the primary strip. It is a little small. But due to the bulge, it is easy to reach. How does it feel in daily use? We will tell you about it in detail in the review of Redmi Note 8 Pro. Xiaomi says that having fewer cutouts makes the glass stronger, which is a good thing.

There are two small trays on the left side. There is space for two nano SIM cards and a microSD card slot. Interestingly, the Redmi Note 8 Pro variant launched in China does not have a slot for microSD card. It has been brought to India. Like other Xiaomi phones, this handset has an infrared emitter. We also saw a small notification LED on the right side of the selfie camera. The rest of the design of the phone is very standard. The buttons are on the right side. The USB Type-C port, 3.5mm audio socket and speaker have been placed at the bottom.

Xiaomi knows that Indian customers are very serious about specifications. In such a situation, using the MediaTek G90T processor is an interesting decision. MediaTek claims that the G90T processor has the ability to beat Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730 and Snapdragon 703G processors in many benchmark tests. This processor is made for gaming. In such a situation, users interested in gaming will definitely consider the Redmi Note 8 Pro.

Now let’s talk about the 64-megapixel primary rear camera with f/1.89 aperture. We cannot say anything about its performance at the moment. This will be discussed in detail in the Redmi Note 8 Pro review. Normally the camera will capture 16-megapixel photos with the help of binning technology. But better photos can be expected from higher resolution. 64 megapixels is also a powerful feature from the marketing point of view.

The secondary camera has a 120-degree wide-angle lens. It is an 8-megapixel sensor with f/2.2 aperture. It seems that it will not be useful in every situation. You also get a 2-megapixel depth sensor and a 2-megapixel macro camera. We have already seen a glimpse of this type of camera setup in the Realme 5 Pro. We feel that this feature is not very essential. But with the arrival of this sensor, the Redmi Note 8 Pro has reached its challenge.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro has a 20-megapixel camera with F/2.0 aperture on the front panel. It also has portrait mode. The battery of Redmi Note 8 Pro is 4,500 mAh. It supports 18 watt fast charging. The phone comes with dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, special antenna and Bluetooth 5. Xiaomi has made the phone available in India in Halo White, Gamma Green and Shadow Black colors. Amazon’s Alexa assistant has also been integrated.

The device was running on MIUI 10.4.2 based on Android 9 Pie. It is expected that it will also get MIUI 11 in the coming time.

We will soon come up with a review of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro. It will discuss in detail the phone’s performance, cameras, battery life, screen, build quality and other aspects.
