US Deputy Secretary of State Kurt M Campbell met Indian Foreign Secretary Vinay Kwatra and Deputy National Security Advisor Vikram Misri in New Delhi on Tuesday. During this, both sides reiterated their commitment to strengthen the US-India partnership.
Campbell congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the NDA government for their victory in the national elections and the people of India for raising their voices in the largest democratic elections in history. A statement issued by the State Department said that the two sides discussed ways to strengthen regional and multilateral coordination in the broader Indo-Pacific region through the Quad partnership. Both the Deputy Secretary and the Foreign Secretary expressed their intention to continue cooperation in ensuring a secure and prosperous Indo-Pacific region.
