World Record: Shefali’s double century, India broke the world record of the highest score against South Africa

New Delhi. The Indian cricket team will play the ICC T20 World Cup final tonight. Before this, the women’s cricket team created a world record in the only test match being played. On the basis of opener Shefali Verma’s double century and Smriti Mandhana’s innings of 149 runs, the team made the highest score in women’s test history. Indian women’s captain Harmanpreet Kaur declared the first innings at 603 runs for 6 wickets against South Africa.

The Indian women’s team, which played the only Test match against South Africa, played a brilliant game. Indian openers Shefali Verma and Smriti Mandhana played a record-breaking partnership for the first wicket and laid the foundation for the team’s big score. Shefali was out after scoring 205 runs in 197 balls while Mandhana played an innings of 149 runs in 161 balls. Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur scored 69 while Richa Ghosh scored 86 runs. India broke the record of the highest score in women’s Test history.
