Sonepur Fair News: Preparations for the world famous Harihar Kshetra Sonpur Fair are almost complete. This month-long fair will be inaugurated today (Wednesday) by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha. Bihar Tourism Minister Nitish Mishra said on Tuesday (November 12) that many preparations have been made by the Tourism Department to make the Sonpur Fair grand.
He said that a cultural pandal and art and craft village have been constructed in the fair area. A temporary tourist information center has also been constructed in the cultural pandal of the fair area, where tourist guides have also been deputed. He told that on the inauguration day, the team of Bollywood playback singers Aishwarya Nigam and Dipali Sahay will present a cultural program.
Maithili Thakur will also perform in the fair
The Tourism Minister said that along with this, famous folk singer Maithili Thakur will also be performing on 16th November. During the entire fair period, cultural programs will be presented daily in the cultural pandals by the Tourism Department, Art-Culture and Youth Department and the District Administration.
Stay in Swiss Cottage…Enjoy the Fair
Tourism Secretary Lokesh Kumar Singh said that Bihar State Tourism Development Corporation has constructed six Swiss cottages with modern facilities in the tourism village. Along with this, a special tour package has also been made available to go from Patna to Sonpur. The rate of Swiss Cottage has been kept minimum, so that more and more tourists can stay in it and enjoy the fair. Five star hotel like facilities have been provided in these cottages.
It will cost Rs 6 thousand for two persons
Family tour package (one night and two days) has been prepared for the tourists. For this, Rs 6 thousand (two persons and two children) will have to be paid. Under this, Etios AC vehicles will be provided. Apart from this, facility of overnight stay in the tourist village along with tourist guide, accommodation, breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and water will be provided.
In this package, the vehicle will depart for Sonpur from the Tourism Corporation office at 12 noon. On the first day, one can enjoy darshan in Hariharnath temple and cultural program in the tourist village. One day special tour package has been prepared keeping in mind the convenience of common tourists. This package will be from 12 noon to 7 pm.
