World Cup Final: If you are going to watch the match, your bank account will be empty, the fare for one night is Rs 1 lakh and the flight rates are crazy!

The countdown to the ICC ODI World Cup final has reached its peak, especially for the cricket fans who are looking forward to watching India face Australia in the grand finale on November 19 at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. However, fans face a number of obstacles in their attempts to be a part of this historic moment. Hotel rooms in Ahmedabad are not vacant and room rents have become more than the India-Pakistan match.

Basic hotel fare is now coming at a whopping Rs 10,000 per night, while luxury hotels in the city are charging around Rs 1 lakh for a night’s stay. Flight prices have also increased, with round-trip tickets to Ahmedabad seeing an increase of 200-300 per cent. The price of flight from Delhi on the eve of the final is now Rs 15,000.

Be it at home or in the stadium… if this happens then you can get Rs 5000

Securing accommodation and tickets has become a difficult challenge. Following the announcement of the World Cup schedule, fans faced increased flight costs and exorbitant hotel tariffs. As India secured their place in the final, the situation worsened, with hotel prices in Ahmedabad skyrocketing. This is not the first time that cricket has created such a stir in the city.

A similar scenario had played out for the India-Pakistan match on October 15, when hotel tariffs had reached new heights. Online platforms such as Booking.com, MakeMyTrip and agoda have seen a significant increase in searches for accommodation in Ahmedabad, reflecting the demand seen during the India-Pakistan standoff.

There may be a delay in stadium entry, it may even be stopped

The final batch of match tickets, which went on sale on 13 November, sold out rapidly. The cheapest ticket available on BookMyShow was priced at Rs 10,000. The Men in Blue’s remarkable unbeaten streak in the tournament has further increased the anticipation for the final, turning it into a once-in-a-lifetime event for cricket fans across the country.
