Will PCB sacrifice Babar again? After losing the World Cup, he has been stripped of the captaincy, even the captain does not know his future

New Delhi. After being eliminated from the first round of the T20 World Cup, the Pakistan cricket team and its captain Babar Azam are on target. The same situation has arisen in Pakistan cricket once again, which was there 6-7 months ago. Then the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had taken away the captaincy from Babar Azam after losing the ODI World Cup. Now Pakistan has been embarrassed again in the T20 World Cup. It is a coincidence that the captain was again Babar. So can Babar leave the captaincy himself or will the board remove him or will he get a chance again. Babar Azam answered many of these questions.

Babar Azam said that he has not thought of leaving the captaincy. Any decision in this regard will be taken after talking to the PCB. Pakistan was the runner-up in the last T20 World Cup (2022). This time he lost his opening match in Group A and could not even reach the Super-8 stage.

Pakistan somehow saved its honour by defeating Ireland in its last group match of the T20 World Cup. After the match, Babar Azam was asked if he had any plans to resign, to which he said, ‘When I go back, we will discuss all the things that have happened here. If I have to leave the captaincy, this decision, I will tell you openly. I will not announce anything behind the scenes. Whatever happens will be in front of everyone.’

Babar Azam said that the PCB had handed him the captaincy again and any decision on its continuation will be his. He said, ‘I have not thought about it. The decision is of the PCB.’

Babar Azam said, ‘When I left the captaincy (after the ODI World Cup), I thought that now I should not take this responsibility in future. So I left it. I announced it myself. Then when they (PCB) gave it back to me, it was their decision.’
