West Indies scored 218 runs for 5 wickets in this last match of the group stage. This is the highest score of T20 World Cup 2024. Nicholas Pooran scored 98 runs in this match. This is also the highest individual score in T20 World Cup 2024.
Host West Indies and Afghanistan faced each other in the T20 World Cup on Tuesday. This was also the last match of the group stage of the tournament. Both these teams have already qualified for the Super-8 from Group C. Therefore, this match was more about maintaining the winning streak than just a fight for points, in which the host team was successful.
Afghanistan won the toss and chose to bowl first. But when West Indies started batting, it never felt that they had come to the field after losing the toss.
