The government of Pakistan is preparing to crack down on former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Information Minister Ataullah Tarar has said that the government has decided to ban the PTI party under Article 17 for its involvement in anti-national activities. The matter is not going to stop here but it has also decided to take action against PTI founder Imran Khan and two others under Article 6 of the Pakistani Constitution.
However, opposition to this decision of the Pakistan government has started in the country. PTI has said that the government is more concerned about Imran Khan instead of paying attention to the basic problems of the country. Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), which is part of the government, also does not agree with this decision. PPP said that its opinion has not been taken on this issue.
