New Delhi. The Indian team won the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy by defeating South Africa in the final. The Indian team did not lose a single match in this tournament. This is India’s second win in the T20 World Cup. Earlier, the team had won the title in the 2007 T20 World Cup. After the victory, a member of the team management was in the news a lot. Whose name is Raghu. Raghu was seen with Team India during the celebration.
Raghu is a member of the team management. He is a throwdown specialist in the team. Raghu bowls during the practice season. Raghu joined BCCI in 2008 and by 2011 became Team India’s throwdown specialist, a position he still holds. There was a time when Raghu spent his days at bus stands and graveyards. After Team India’s victory in the T20 World Cup, the whole country is in a celebratory mood. India won the cup by defeating South Africa on June 29.
Raghavendra hails from Kumta in the Uttara Kannada district of Karnataka. His father, a school teacher, never fully understood his son’s passion for cricket and his desire to wear the blue jersey someday. He pursued his passion despite his father’s disapproval and appeared for trials for the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) in Hubli.
A hand injury ended his bowling career. He later coached the Karnataka Ranji team. He even worked for the KSCA without pay. He joined the BCCI in 2008 and became Team India’s throwdown specialist by 2011.
