New Delhi. Haryana’s fast bowler Anshul Kamboj has become a star overnight. Anshul has attracted everyone’s attention with his brilliant bowling in Ranji Trophy. With his explosive performance, he has also tried to tell the Indian selectors that he is ready to join the senior team. Anshul plays domestic cricket for Haryana. He became the third bowler in the history of Ranji Trophy to take all 10 wickets in an innings in the ongoing Haryana vs Kerala match in Lahli on Friday. BCCI Secretary Jai Shah is also happy with this historic success of Anshul. Jai Shah sent a congratulatory message to Anshul.

23-year-old bowler Anshul Kamboj achieved this feat in the Group C match against Kerala. He took ten wickets for 49 runs in 30.1 overs. Before him in Ranji Trophy, Premangshu Chatterjee of Bengal (10 wickets for 20 runs, Bengal vs Assam, 1956) and Pradeep Sundaram of Rajasthan (10 wickets for 78 runs, Rajasthan vs Vidarbha, 1985) had achieved this feat. Overall, Kamboj has become the sixth Indian bowler to take 10 wickets in first-class cricket. Anil Kumble, Subhash Gupte and Debashish Mohanty are the other bowlers included in this list.

Anshul made a perfect 10 by taking 3 wickets on the third day
Fast bowler Kamboj needed only two wickets to achieve this feat before the start of the third day’s play. He registered his name in the record books by taking the wickets of Basil Thampi and Shaun Roger. With his brilliant bowling, Haryana bowled out Kerala for 291 runs in the first innings. During this period, Kamboj also completed 50 wickets in first-class cricket.

Anshul Kamboj’s domestic cricket career
Anshul Kamboj, born in Karnal, Haryana in the year 2000, was a part of the Mumbai Indians team in IPL 2024. He played three matches in IPL last season. During this, he dismissed strong batsmen like Mayank Agarwal and Shreyas Iyer. Mumbai had signed Anshul for Rs 20 lakh. However, this time Mumbai has released Anshul before the IPL 2025 auction. Anshul has taken 47 wickets in 18 first class matches while he has 23 wickets in his name in 15 List A matches. Anshul has taken 17 wickets in 15 T20 matches. Anshul was a part of the Indian team in the Emerging T20 Team Asia Cup played in Oman this year.
