Sunita Williams Press Conference: Astronauts Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore, who are trapped in space, miss Earth a lot. During an online press conference (PC) on Saturday (September 14, 2024), both of them gave their latest update from 400 km away from Earth. Sunita Williams said, “Space is one of my favorite places and I like being here.”
While speaking to the International Space Station and the press, Sunita Williams shared her thoughts on the return of the spacecraft and the decision to postpone the return home until February 2025. Both the astronauts said during this time that it was very sad to see their Boeing Starliner go back.

Sunita Williams at the PC said that the transition to station life was “not that difficult” because both astronauts had lived there before. She said, “This is a happy place for me. I love being in space. We wanted to complete the Starliner and land it back in the country, but for this we will have to look for the next opportunity.”

Astronaut Sunita Williams said she was a little nervous because she was not able to return home immediately. She said, “In my mind, there are people on the ground who have some plans like my family. I have to spend time with my mother. I think I was more worried about this. Like the plans we had made for this fall or winter. But everyone was ready for this and it prepared us.”
