What Starc and Bumrah could not do… Arshdeep did it, entered the special club of Namibian bowlers

New Delhi. Arshdeep Singh’s magic worked in the India-USA T20 World Cup match today. After winning the toss and bowling first, India got two wickets in the first over by Arshdeep. Due to two blows one after the other, the condition of America looked very bad in the match. Arshdeep also did that feat in the T20 World Cup which even bowlers like Jaspreet Bumrah and Mitchell Starc have not been able to do so far. However, the Namibian bowler has done this feat not once but twice. We are talking about taking a wicket on the very first ball of the innings in the T20 World Cup.

At present, only three bowlers were included in this list before Arshdeep. Arshdeep became the fourth bowler to do so. In any match, taking a wicket on the first ball of the innings is considered very important. Today Arshdeep gave a big blow to America on the very first ball. Bangladesh’s fast bowler Mashrafe Murtaza was the first to take a wicket on the very first ball during the T20 World Cup played in 2014. This match was played against Afghanistan. During the same tournament, Afghanistan’s Shapoor Zadran took a wicket on the first ball against Hong Kong.

Namibian bowler repeated the record twice
Then in the 2021 T20 World Cup, Namibia’s bowler Ruben Trumpelman took a wicket on the first ball of the innings against Scotland. In the current World Cup, Namibia’s Ruben Trumpelman repeated this again. This time he got a wicket on the very first ball against Oman.

Arshdeep also became a part of this club
Arshdeep Singh got Shayan Jahangir out LBW on the very first ball of the match against America today. Then on the last ball of the over, wicketkeeper batsman Andris Gaus, who came to play at number-3, was caught out by Hardik Pandya. After one over, America’s score was three runs for the loss of two wickets.
