Weather Update: Gorkha community came on the road to give water to passersby in the scorching heat, schools closed till June 22 due to heatwave

Weather News: If there is a resolve in mind to do something for the society and the people, then the paths and caravans are automatically formed. In the scorching heat, where people are dying due to heatwave, the people of Gorkha community have come out on the road to help the passersby. They are making the path easier for the people by giving them cold drinks (sharbat). Every passerby is not tired of praising them and calling on the government as well as other social organizations to come forward for this. In view of the scorching heat and heat wave, the District Magistrate of Gorakhpur has called for keeping schools and colleges up to 12th standard closed till June 22. Along with this, orders will also have to be followed for opening and closing coaching institutes.  

The Ministry of Earth Sciences and the India Meteorological Department have issued a heatwave alert with severe heat in many districts of UP. In view of this, Gorakhpur District Magistrate Krishna Karunesh has ordered all schools and colleges from class 1 to 12 to remain closed till June 22. In such a situation, coaching centers will also have to strictly follow the order to remain closed from 10 am to 4 pm. Strict punitive action will be taken against those who do not follow this.

Water facility for passersby
In view of the scorching heat and heat wave, the Indian Gorkha Parishion District Committee Gorakhpur distributed free sweet drinks (sharbat) and water among the passersby on the heat wave alert amid the scorching heat and heat. At Gate No. 2 of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, men and women of the Gorkha community provided relief to the passersby in this scorching heat by giving them drinks. Dozens of officials and workers of the Federation present at the Indian Gorkha Parishion District Committee Gorakhpur distributed free drinks among the passersby coming from far off places, local people and patients who came for treatment at AIIMS. This free drinking water program was led by Shriram Singh Pradhan, President of the Indian Gorkha Council District Branch Gorakhpur and Vice President Dhan Bahadur Thapa.

Two thousand people were provided relief by this free sherbet and pure drinking water. The women and men of the federation mixed sherbet in big vessels and distributed it among the passersby and people visiting AIIMS and also made people aware to avoid the scorching heat, heat and hot wind. On this occasion, Pratima Chhetri, Pratibha Thapa, Su Bahadur, Kalpana, Jyoti, Ganga Bahadur, Topendra, Manoj Kumar, Malti, Rukku, Shalini, Poonam Singh, Kopila Devi, Madhu Singh, Nirmala, Manish Pradhan, Rajan Singh, Sheru, Monu, Uttam Chhetri etc. took part in this noble work with great enthusiasm and ensured their participation.
