In the plains of North India, the effect of jet stream winds blowing at high speed about 12 kilometers above sea level is going to be the coldest days in the plains. According to the Meteorological Department, extreme cold was predicted in most of the states of India. Due to this, not only the day but also the night temperature may drop rapidly. Which will have a direct impact in the plains.

According to the scientists of the department, at present about twelve kilometers above sea level, winds are blowing at a speed of about 140 to 160 knots (two hundred and fifty to three hundred and fifty kilometers) per hour. Meteorological Department scientist Divesh Patel says that due to jet stream winds, cold will start increasing in the plains. He says that due to this, melting will not only increase in India, especially in the plains, but due to the continuous presence of jet stream winds, there may be a drop in the minimum temperature. Whereas melting will increase due to cold winds blowing during the day. According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, these jet stream winds will continue to flow in the atmosphere at the same speed from Wednesday to Sunday, which will have a direct impact on the plains of North India. In which it will fall in the plains of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi-NCR, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.

In which rain has been predicted in some parts of Uttarakhand including Jammu and Kashmir and Himachal Pradesh. Apart from this, rain is also expected in some parts of Bengal including Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Orissa. Scientists of the Meteorological Department believe that due to rain in these areas, especially in Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh, the weather may remain clear in some parts for the next five days.

According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature may drop by one to two degrees in the next few days. Whereas the maximum temperature is also expected to drop by the same amount. Whereas the maximum temperature will be lower in those areas where cold winds will show their effect. According to the estimates of the Meteorological Department, there will be continuous fog in some parts of North India. Scientists of the department believe that within the next three days, there will not be that much fog during the day, but this fog will increase in the morning and night. This trend of fog can be seen in some parts of Bihar including Punjab, Haryana, Western Uttar Pradesh.
