Weather News South West Monsoon Active in Bihar Patna IMD Alert for Heavy Rain in 6 Districts of Bihar ANN

Bihar Weather News 26 June 2024: The southwest monsoon has become fully active in Bihar. Today, Wednesday (26 June), there are indications of cloudy weather in all the districts of the state. Heavy rainfall may be recorded in North Bihar while light or moderate rainfall may be recorded in South Bihar. Along with this, there is a forecast of a drop in temperature in most of the districts of South Bihar.

According to the Meteorological Center Patna, a trough line is passing through North West Bihar, due to which a warning of heavy rain has been issued in six districts of North Bihar. There are indications of very heavy rain in West Champaran, East Champaran and Sitamarhi. There is also a possibility of thunder and lightning. At the same time, a warning of lightning along with heavy rain has been issued in Madhubani, Supaul and Gopalganj.

There is no heat wave warning in any district

The Meteorological Department says that there is a possibility of rain and thunder in most of the districts of North Bihar along with strong winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour in most of the districts of the northern part of the state today. Today, there is a forecast of light or moderate rainfall with cloudy weather in all the districts of South Bihar as well. Along with this, there is also a forecast of strong winds blowing at a speed of 40 to 50 kilometers per hour at one or two places in South Bihar. No heat wave warning has been issued in any district today.

According to the Meteorological Department, a yellow alert has been issued in Bhagalpur, Munger, Khagaria, Saharsa, Madhepura, Darbhanga, Madhubani, Supaul, Katihar, Araria, Purnia and Kishanganj districts since this morning. Rain and thunderstorm warning has been issued. Rain has been recorded in many districts including Patna between last Monday and Tuesday. Sitamarhi has received the highest rainfall with 74.6 mm.

Buxar received 47.5 mm rainfall, East Champaran 45.4 mm, West Champaran 32.4 mm, Siwan 28.4 mm and capital Patna received 18.02 mm rainfall. Muzaffarpur, Kishanganj, Sheikhpura, Lakhisarai, Rohtas, Supaul, Araria, Saran, Bhagalpur, Jamui, Begusarai, Samastipur, Bhojpur, Kaimur, Aurangabad and Banka districts received moderate to light rainfall.

Patna’s temperature was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius on Tuesday. Heat wave conditions prevailed in two districts Aurangabad and Arwal. Temperatures above 40 degrees were recorded in four districts. Aurangabad recorded the highest temperature of 41.5 degrees. Dehri in Rohtas recorded 40.5 degrees, Gaya 40.3 degrees and Arwal 40 degrees.
