West Bengal Governor CV Anand Bose on Saturday claimed that the state is facing a financial crisis. With this claim, he asked the Mamata Banerjee government to present a white paper on Saturday. The governor’s statement came after meeting Union Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in New Delhi. At the same time, Bose said that Mamata Banerjee cannot intimidate him. The CM has no right to defame his character by lying.

Governor Bose targeted the West Bengal Chief Minister and said that Mamata Banerjee has crossed all limits. She has to work in a civilized manner. As a Chief Minister, I gave her full respect, considering her my respected constitutional ally. But she thinks that she can threaten anyone and cast aspersions on my character. The Governor further said that killing of self-respect to any extent will not be tolerated.

At the same time, a statement issued from the Raj Bhavan claimed that the fiscal situation of West Bengal is facing risks. This situation is exposing the serious shortcomings of the state government. It is a very disturbing situation that West Bengal is facing a financial crisis. Using the powers given under Article 167 of the Constitution, the Governor said that the Mamata government should issue a white paper on the financial condition of the state.

I will file a defamation case against Mamata

Bose said that she has not grown up that much. As a Chief Minister, if she thinks differently from me, there are certainly constitutional provisions to take care of it. He said, this cannot be allowed. This is not arrogance, this is ‘Mamata mania’ which cannot be tolerated. I will file a defamation case against Mamata Banerjee. Let us tell you that this comment of Bose has come after Mamata Banerjee’s statement in which she said that women are not feeling safe in Raj Bhavan.
