New Delhi. Team India’s fast bowler Mohammad Shami has now recovered himself to a great extent. But there was a time in his life when he was completely upset and wanted to commit suicide. He was upset with the allegations made by his wife. His wife Hasin Jahan had accused him of match fixing, dowry and sexual harassment. One of his friends and MLA Umesh Kumar told that Shami was once going to commit suicide.
Umesh Kumar said on Shubhankar Mishra’s YouTube channel, “Shami used to stay with me at my house and was fighting against everything. But when there was an allegation of match fixing with Pakistan and an investigation was started, he broke down. He told me that I am ready to bear everything. But I cannot bear match fixing against Pakistan. You will remember that once it came to light that Shami wanted to do something that night. A wrong thought came to his mind. At 4 in the morning he was standing in the balcony.”
Umesh said, “I understood what was happening. That night was the worst night of his life. It was a night of sorrows. Then one day we both were lying down and chatting. Then we got a message that Shami has got a clean chit. That day was a happier day for Shami than winning the World Cup. There is a lot of difference between that Shami and this Shami.”
Let us tell you that Shami made his international debut for India on 6 January 2013 during the ODI match played against Pakistan in Delhi. This 33-year-old cricketer has played 64 Tests, 101 ODIs and 23 T20 matches for India. He has taken a total of 448 wickets. Mohammad Shami bowled brilliantly for India in the World Cup 2023. He played an important role in taking India to the finals.
