New Delhi. The Afghanistan cricket team has qualified for the Super 8 of the T20 World Cup 2024. The 7-wicket win against Papua New Guinea has given the ‘Afghan fighters’ a ticket to the Super 8. Fast bowler Fazhlaq Farooqui has played a big role in taking the Rashid Khan-led Afghanistan team to the Super 8. Farooqui played an important role in the team’s victory with his sharp bowling. 23-year-old Farooqui did not get a chance to play a single match in IPL 2024. Farooqui was included in the Sunrisers Hyderabad team. He took 3 wickets in the match against PNG.
