Voting continues for Delhi University Students Union (DUSU) elections. Voting was scheduled to start at 8.30 am, but voting started late. Students are arriving comfortably to cast their votes. A large number of students have come to vote in some colleges since morning. There is enthusiasm among the students regarding voting.
Outside the metro station, student organizations and workers and supporters are appealing to the students to cast their vote by telling them their ballot numbers. On the other hand, there is news of uproar in DUSU elections. NSUI candidate Lokesh Chaudhary is accused of creating ruckus. Whose video has also surfaced. Lokesh Choudhary, candidate for the post of co-secretary of NSUI, is having an argument with the election officials over voting not starting at the Law Centre. NSUI has raised questions regarding voting not starting on time at some places in the morning.
The pace of voting in DUSU elections is very slow. According to an estimate, 20-25 percent voting has taken place so far. There is a possibility of good voting in the evening shift colleges.
Let us tell you that in morning shift colleges, voting will take place till 1 pm and in evening shift colleges, voting will take place from 3 pm to 7.30 pm. More than one lakh voters will exercise their franchise.
