Vivo launched its V5 smartphone in November last year. During this time, it was known that the company has also introduced the V5 Plus model. However, during this time the company did not tell much about V5 Plus. Now it has been officially launched. Launch in India Vivo V5 Plus has been launched. The price of Vivo V5 Plus is Rs 27,980 and it will be available in offline and online market from February 1.

Like other Vivo phones, the most important feature of this handset is the front camera. This time the company has provided a dual camera setup for selfie lovers. Vivo V5 Plus design and display
As soon as you hold the Vivo V5 Plus in your hands, you will realize that it is heavily inspired by the iPhone 7 design. However, this is not bad. Overall, the Vivo V5 Plus has a good build quality and feels premium. Due to the thin frame, it is easy to use with one hand. The dimensions of the smartphone are 152.8×74.00×7.26 mm and its weight is 158.6 grams.

Vivo V5 Plus The primary camera is placed on the top left side of the rear. The power and volume buttons are present on the right side. Vivo V5 Plus also has a home button fingerprint sensor. In our time with the handset, we found that the sensor gave good response and it was also accurate. The speaker grill is present at the bottom. Along with this, you will get a micro-USB port and 3.5mm audio jack.

The Vivo V5 Plus sports a 5.5-inch full-HD (1080×1920 pixels) display. After spending some time with the smartphone, we would say that its quality is satisfactory.

Vivo V5 Plus Camera
The most important feature of Vivo V5 Plus is the dual front camera. You will get an 8 megapixel sensor along with 20 megapixels. The 20 megapixel camera uses Sony IMX376 1/2.78 inch sensor. Its aperture is F/2.0. At the same time, the 8 megapixel sensor will capture depth of field information.

With the help of this pair of cameras, users will be able to take selfies with bokeh effect. We got a glimpse of this technology in the iPhone 7 Plus. Users can change the focus area even after taking a shot. We found the camera setup of the Vivo V5 Plus to be very competent. However, the face beautification and HDR mode do not improve the quality of the photo much.

The Vivo V5 Plus has a 16-megapixel camera on the rear. We found the pictures taken with this camera to be decent, nothing unusual. The camera performance was not that good, especially in low light conditions. However, we have spent limited time with this handset. So, we will reserve the final verdict on the camera performance for the review.

Vivo V5 Plus Software
Vivo V5 Plus smartphone runs on Funtouch OS 3.0 based on Android 6.0 Marshmallow. It has 4 GB RAM with 2 GHz octa-core Snapdragon 625 chipset. Like the hardware design, you will get a glimpse of iPhone in the software as well. During the time spent with V5 Plus, we did not have any complaints with the performance.

The inbuilt storage of Vivo V5 Plus is 64 GB. The battery is 3055 mAh and it supports quick charging. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS. The speaker of Vivo V5 Plus produces loud sound, but we were not satisfied with its quality.

Vivo V5 Plus will be available in India only in Gold colour. In this price range, the handset will compete with OnePlus 3T and Moto Z Play. However, Vivo V5 Plus has a weaker processor than OnePlus 3T. And unlike Moto Z Play, it also does not support mods. In such a situation, it will not be easy for the company to attract customers just on the basis of dual front camera. However, we would suggest you to wait for the review of Vivo V5 Plus.
