Vivo V40 series launched in India
of 91Mobiles Report According to, the Vivo V40 series is expected to come with a 5,500mAh battery and may launch in India in August. It is touted to be the “thinnest phone” in its segment. Both models are said to be IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. Apart from this, Vivo’s upcoming handset can get a 3D curved display and Infinity Eye camera module. It may include Zeiss optics cameras with multifocal portrait support.
The report further suggests that both handsets may feature a cushioning structure for better stability. The Vivo V40 is expected to have the same specifications as its European version.
Specifications of Vivo V40
Vivo V40 has been launched in the global market with a 6.78-inch curved AMOLED screen. It has 2,800 x 1,260 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and 4,500 nits peak brightness support. It works on Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, paired with Adreno 720 GPU, up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 2.2 onboard storage. The phone comes with Android 14-based FuntouchOS 14.
The Vivo V40 comes with a dual rear camera unit equipped with Ziess optics, which includes a 50-megapixel primary rear camera with optical image stabilization (OIS) support and a 50-megapixel second camera with an ultra-wide angle lens. The rear camera system comes with an Aura Light unit. For selfies, the phone has a front-facing 50-megapixel camera.
The Vivo V40 has a 5,500mAh battery that supports 80W wired FlashCharge. It has an IP68-rated build for dust and water resistance. Its size is 164.16 x 74.93 x 7.58 mm and weight is 190 grams.
