Vivo T2 5G is now available in India and its base variant is priced under Rs 20,000. The smartphone will definitely face tough competition in this price range. Vivo T1 5G The new smartphone brings some upgrades compared to the previous year model, including better camera setup, fast charging, compact design, and lighter weight. However, the new smartphone comes with the same chipset and lesser battery capacity as the last year model.

Vivo T2 5G The body of the smartphone is made of polycarbonate. The smartphone weighs 172 grams, which is 10 grams less than the Vivo T1. At the same time, its thickness is also less than the previous model, 7.8mm. The frame is flat and the edges are slightly rounded, which gives a slightly better in-hand feel. The smartphone is available in two color options and the company has sent us the Nitro Blaze variant of Vivo T2 5G for review, which comes with a very shiny finish. Its special feature is that the back panel changes shades from blue to orange when light falls at different angles. A unique gradient pattern has been given on the panel. Vivo T2 5G has a single speaker at the bottom, which is loud enough for a small room, but does not seem as effective in a large room or outdoors. Along with this, a USB Type-C port is available at the bottom and the good thing is that the phone comes with a 3.5mm headphone jack. The power and volume buttons are included on the right side of the phone, which are quite easy to reach while using it with one hand. On the top frame, there is a hybrid-SIM slot, in which storage can be expanded through two SIMs or one SIM along with a microSD card.

The Vivo T2 5G gets a 6.38-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with 1080 x 2400-pixel resolution. The screen supports a 90Hz refresh rate and Vivo claims that it gets a 360Hz touch sampling rate and a peak brightness of 1300 nits. The top center of the display includes a small waterdrop style notch, which gives the phone a slightly outdated look in today’s times. The top and side bezels are thick on average and the chin is also quite thick compared to the affordable smartphones coming these days. The smartphone gets an in-display fingerprint scanner and also includes face recognition.

The Vivo T2 5G is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, which we saw in several smartphones launched last year, such as the Vivo T1 5G, Samsung Galaxy A52 5G, OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite 5G, 5G etc. However, to know how the T2 5G performs in combination with the Funtouch OS 13 software based on Android 13, we will have to test it thoroughly.

The smartphone gets a dual-camera setup, which is housed in two large ring-shaped modules. The setup includes a 64-megapixel primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) support and a 2-megapixel bokeh sensor. The phone has a 16-megapixel front camera for selfies and video calling etc. We will share our detailed test and experience of these cameras on Vivo T2 5G in our full review.
