New Delhi. South Africa lost the ICC T20 World Cup match against the Indian cricket team. The team that reached the final of a World Cup for the first time came close to winning the trophy but failed to win it. At one point, the match was in South Africa’s control but the Indian bowlers turned the match around. After the defeat in the final, when the team players were going to board the bus, the Indian supporters clapped for the South African team and cheered them up.
The final of the ICC T20 World Cup was played between India and South Africa on Saturday, June 29. India won the toss and chose to bat first but the start was not good. Rohit Sharma, Rishabh Pant and Suryakumar Yadav were out early. Virat Kohli along with Akshar Patel took charge of the team. Shivam Dubey came in the end and played a fast innings to take the team to 176 runs. South Africa needed 26 runs from 24 balls and had 6 wickets in hand. Jasprit Bumrah, Hardik Pandya and Arshdeep Singh turned the match around from here and gave India the victory.
