Video: Coach Dravid’s shocking statement after the victory, I will miss Rohit a lot, hope we remain friends

Bridgetown. The Indian cricket team ended its long drought of trophy by winning the ICC T20 World Cup. After losing to Australia in the ODI World Cup final last year, coach Rahul Dravid along with captain Rohit Sharma were extremely disappointed. Rahul Dravid, who is usually calm, was seen jumping like a child after winning the T20 World Cup and thanked his team for getting him the trophy as a coach which he could not win as a player.

Under the captaincy of Rohit Sharma, India defeated South Africa by seven runs in a thrilling final and ended the 11-year wait for the ICC title. Dravid said after the victory, “I have no words in the last few hours. I am proud of this team, the way it fought in difficult circumstances. Registering such a victory after losing three wickets in the first six overs shows that this team is not going to give up fighting spirit. As a player, I have not been so lucky to win the World Cup. I tried my best during my playing days but all this happens in sports.”
