Veteran player battling cancer, BCCI came forward for his treatment, announced to give Rs 1 crore as aid

New Delhi. Former Indian cricket team coach and cricketer Anshuman Gaikwad is currently battling a serious disease like blood cancer. The 71-year-old legend was undergoing treatment in London and as soon as this information was received, the Board of Control for Cricket in India extended a helping hand. It has been decided to immediately give an amount of Rs 1 crore by the board for the treatment of Anshuman Gaikwad. As soon as BCCI secretary Jay Shah got information about this, immediate action was taken. He talked to the family members and inquired about the health of the legend and announced help.

On Saturday, former Indian cricket team captain Kapil Dev shared that his teammate Anshuman Gaikwad is suffering from cancer. He said that this batsman who has played with him is going through a lot of pain. Kapil had appealed to BCCI for help. As soon as this news came out, the BCCI secretary announced to provide help of Rs 1 crore to Anshuman Gaikwad.
