Varanasi News: Once again a case of negligence of the electricity department has come to light in Varanasi district and this time BJP leaders and departmental employees belonging to the ruling party themselves are being seen face to face. BJP leader Dilip Mishra under Bhelupur police station of Varanasi has alleged that a bribe of Rs 30,000 was demanded from him in the name of changing the meter. Apart from this, despite not having a single rupee of electricity bill outstanding, a case was wrongly filed on behalf of the departmental employees.
Clashed with BJP leaders and electricity department officials regarding this matter. After which BJP leaders created a ruckus at the departmental office located in Bhelupur. Administrative action has also been taken in this matter. JE Vikas Dubey has been suspended until information is received.
BJP leaders clash with electricity department
According to the news, BJP leader Dilip Mishra lives in Ganga Puri Colony, Phulwaria, Varanasi. Recently, he had informed the departmental staff about the power supply problem of his residence. The BJP leader alleges that the electricity workers who reached the residence connected a direct connection instead of a meter and they also made a video of it.
Later when he said that Rs 30,000 would have to be paid for installing the meter. Not only this, a case was also registered against us on charges of electricity theft. After this, BJP leaders and other regional officials reached the departmental office in Bhelupur where they demanded registration of a case against Vigilance Inspector Santosh Singh and Junior Engineer Vikas Dubey. The department was accused of negligence.
Seeing the ruckus of BJP workers at the departmental office, the electricity department officials assured them of investigation. Now JE Vikas Dubey has been suspended in this case. BJP leaders say that when departmental employees are doing this with the leaders, then it is worth thinking about how seriously they would be listening to the views of the general public.
