Vandals have started fires to damage high-speed train routes in France, according to the country’s state-owned railway firm.
The damage is likely to cause massive travel disruption on the day the Paris Olympics starts.
Railway operator SNCF said “several acts of vandalism” targeted its Atlantic, Northern and Eastern high-speed lines.
“Fires were deliberately set to damage our installations,” the SNCF added in a statement.
