Haridwar Rape Case: The police solved the murder of a minor girl in Bahadarabad, Haridwar within 48 hours and arrested 6 people including a woman, while 3 people including a BJP leader are still absconding. The police scanned more than 400 CCTVs and checked more than 600 CDRs to solve the entire mystery.
According to police, the deceased minor was first gang-raped by her three friends near Har ki Pauri after making her drink beer and then they left her near her house in an inebriated condition. But instead of going to her home, the minor girl went to her lover Amit Saini’s house in Bahadarabad and narrated the incident to him, after which the accused Amit Saini raped her.
According to the police, accused Amit Saini had earlier raped the minor deceased by promising to marry her. On the night of the incident, accused Amit Saini raped the deceased and drove her out of the house, but when the deceased started shouting, accused Amit Saini’s parents and family intervened and beat her up. Accused Amit Saini left the deceased unconscious on the roadside near Patanjali Yogpeeth flyover at night.

The police reached the spot in the morning and took the body of the deceased into custody. On the other hand, Aditya Raj Saini, a member of the Uttarakhand state executive of BJP and husband of the head, was aware of the whole matter and on the contrary, he had pressurized the police to release the accused Amit Saini. Therefore, the police have also made him a criminal under section 120B for hiding evidence.
Efforts are being made to arrest the accused. The police have arrested the three friends who gang-raped the minor girl, the main accused Amit Saini who raped and murdered her, and his parents. The Garhwal IG has given a reward of Rs 25,000 to the police team that exposed the case. The Haridwar SSP has also announced a reward of Rs 10,000.
What is the whole matter?
On 24 June 2024, the body of an unknown girl was found near Patanjali Research Center Shantarshah in the Bahadarabad police station area at around 05:00 am, creating a sensation in the entire area. When the body of the deceased could not be identified, it was kept in the district hospital mortuary for postmortem, where, considering the sensitivity of the case, the postmortem was conducted by a panel of doctors while recording the video. 
Haridwar police circulated the photo of the deceased on social media for identification and shared it with local people and WhatsApp groups of all police stations of the district. After a lot of efforts by Haridwar police, the deceased was identified as Shantarshah resident of Bahadarabad. On the basis of written complaint of the deceased’s mother, a case was registered at Bahadarabad police station. Considering the sensitivity of the incident, the minor was cremated while deploying force to maintain law and order in the entire village.
Considering the seriousness of the case and the involvement of a minor, SSP Pramod Singh Doval took the responsibility of monitoring the case himself and formed 05 different teams to successfully solve the case as soon as possible. The SSP kept true to his promise by successfully solving the murder case within 48 hours and successfully arresting the accused involved in the case.
