Hurricane Oscar has formed off the coast of Bahamas in Miami, USA. Miami’s National Hurricane Center gave information about this on Saturday. However, the hurricane center described Oscar as very small.
The Bahamas government has issued a hurricane warning for the Turks and Caicos Islands and the southeast Bahamas, and the Cuban government has issued a hurricane warning for the Guantanamo, Holguín and Las Tunas provinces.
The storm’s maximum sustained winds reached 80 mph (130 km/h) with gusts. Its center was located about 160 miles (260 km) east-southeast of the southeastern Bahamas and about 470 miles (755 km) east of Camagüey, Cuba.
A few hours earlier, Tropical Storm Nadine formed off the southern Caribbean coast of Mexico, now moving inland into Belize. Heavy rain and tropical storm conditions persist over parts of Belize and the Yucatan Peninsula.
A tropical storm warning is in effect for Belize City and from Belize to Cancún, Mexico, including Cozumel.
