US- Russia Reactions on death of Hezbollah chief Nasrallah: In the ongoing war between Israel and Hezbollah, almost all the top commanders of the organization have been killed. Meanwhile, US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin expressed his strong support for Israel in a conversation with Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant. Joe Biden reacted to Nasrallah’s death

President Joe Biden has called the death of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah “a measure of justice.” The US President said that he (Nasrallah) was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of Americans and others during his four decades of leadership. Joe Biden has reiterated America’s unwavering support for Israel’s self-defense against various Iran-backed terrorist groups.

Biden has directed Austin to direct US military forces in the Middle East to deter further aggression and reduce the risk of wider regional conflict. Amid recent tensions, the Biden administration is trying to reduce the conflicts in Gaza and Lebanon through diplomatic channels.

What did Russia say on the death of Hezbollah Chief?

Unlike America, Russia has criticized the killing of Hassan Nasrallah. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said that Israel cannot achieve its goals through such violent activity. Iran has announced 5 days of mourning across the country on Nasrallah’s death. Iran’s Supreme Ayatollah Khamenei said that this ‘blood’ will be avenged. On the other hand, the Iraq Prime Minister’s Office has announced three days of mourning and also said that Israel has crossed all limits by killing Nasrallah.
