US President Joe Biden apologized to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky for the delay in the military aid package. Biden apologized when the US announced a new military package for Ukraine during a bilateral meeting with Zelensky on Friday. He told the Ukrainian President that the way you are fighting is amazing. Let us tell you that the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has been going on for more than two years.
US President Joe Biden told Zelensky, “You are not bowing down. The way you are fighting is amazing. You keep fighting like this. We are not going to leave you.” Biden emphasized that he is facing difficulties in getting the bill passed.
Biden apologizes for the delay in the military package
Apologizing to Ukraine for the delay in the military package, he said, “I apologize for the problem with funding. We had to face trouble in getting the bill that we wanted to pass. There were some people involved in it who were holding it back. But we have fixed everything.” Biden further said, “Since then, I have announced six packages. Today I am also signing an additional package of US $ 225 million for rebuilding the electric grid.”
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky invited all countries to the Ukraine peace conference. He stressed that time is running out to bring back Ukrainian children kidnapped by Russia. Along with this, he accused Russia of teaching children to hate their motherland. Zelensky said that the whole world wants to be able to come together and work in harmony.
President Biden will not attend the peace conference
Zelensky said that about 100 countries and international organizations have confirmed their participation in this summit. He emphasized on nuclear security, food security and saving the kidnapped Ukrainian children. The US White House said that President Joe Biden will not attend this conference. Vice President Kamala Harris will leave for Switzerland next week to attend this conference.
