US-Taiwan Arms Deal: America has given the green signal to a two billion dollar arms deal with Taiwan. After the delivery of advanced weapons from America, Taiwan is going to become even stronger as a self-governing island. Which arms deal was made with America?

This deal between Taiwan and America includes three National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems (NASAMS). Whose estimated deal is worth 1.16 billion dollars. Along with this, it also includes a radar system, which costs about 828 million dollars. It was told that the strength of these advanced surface-to-air missiles has been proven in the Ukraine war. After which this will significantly increase Taiwan’s air defense capabilities.

Taiwan expressed gratitude to America

On the signing of this deal to significantly increase Taiwan’s security, the office of Taiwan’s newly elected President Lai Ching Te on Saturday expressed gratitude for America’s support. After the newly elected President of Taiwan took office in May, Taiwan has increased its security capabilities amid military threats from China.

Taiwan’s presidential spokesperson Karen Kuo said- ‘Increasing Taiwan’s self-defense capabilities is the foundation for maintaining regional stability.’

China conducted military drills around Taiwan

Last week, China completed the second phase of military drills in the areas around Taiwan. Which was designed to block important ports and areas of Taiwan. Regarding this, Taiwan’s Defense Ministry has seen 153 Chinese aircraft, 14 naval vessels and 12 government boats roaming around the island.

China expressed displeasure over America-Taiwan deal

China has expressed displeasure over the success of this $2 billion military deal between America and Taiwan. Along with this, China has called it a threat to the sovereignty of the country.
