UP Politics: Lok Sabha Elections Claims of alleged discord within the Bharatiya Janata Party in Uttar Pradesh have been made since 2024. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has been continuously claiming that Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya and some other leaders are trying to topple the government. He had even given a monsoon offer to Keshav in the past.
Amidst all these claims and offers, one move by CM Yogi Adityanath has halted the steps of both the ruling party and the opposition. On Thursday evening, when the information reached the political and headlines corridors of UP that the Chief Minister yogi adityanath It was a surprise for everyone that he met Samajwadi Party MLA and Apna Dal Kamarwadi Party leader Pallavi Patel.
Although this meeting is being called a courtesy meeting, but if experts are to be believed, CM Yogi has hit three targets with one arrow. Now only time will tell whether this arrow hits the target or not, but many meanings are being drawn from the time at which this meeting took place.
First target- Keshav Prasad Maurya: Since the Lok Sabha elections, Uttar Pradesh Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya has been at the center of claims of alleged discord between the government and the organization. Claims of alleged discord started being made after Keshav gave the issue to the opposition by explaining the difference between the organization and the government during the BJP meeting in Lucknow. Now CM Yogi has met Pallavi Patel who defeated Keshav Prasad Maurya from Sirathu in the 2022 assembly elections. The meeting of CM Yogi and Pallavi is trying to give the message that just as Keshav is trying to strengthen himself by bringing together BJP allies, the other side will also not let the game go empty.
Second target- Anupriya Patel: Apna Dal (Sonelal) leader, Mirzapur MP and Union Minister Anupriya Patel was the first to target the Yogi government of the state through the issue of reservation after the Lok Sabha elections. Anupriya and Pallavi are both sisters, however, political ambitions separated the paths of both. During the Rajya Sabha elections 2024, when it was being claimed that Pallavi was angry with the selection of candidates by Akhilesh Yadav, then Anupriya Patel’s husband and cabinet minister in the Yogi government, Ashish Patel, called it a drama. On the question of Pallavi joining the NDA, Ashish had said at that time that this decision would lead the alliance. It is believed that the CM has sent a message to the Anupriya camp by meeting Pallavi about the birth of new possibilities of politics.
Third target- Akhilesh Yadav: The Samajwadi Party, which won 111 seats in the 2022 assembly elections, suffered the biggest setback in February this year when 6 of its MLAs switched sides and voted for the BJP candidate. At present, SP has 105 MLAs in the House. One of them is Pallavi Patel. Pallavi Patel was fielded by the SP from Sirathu on its ticket. On many occasions, Akhilesh Yadav and his wife Dimple Yadav, MP from Mainpuri, have said that Pallavi is an MLA on a SP ticket. By-elections are proposed on 10 assembly seats in UP, one of which is Phulpur. Praveen Patel, who was a BJP MLA from Phulpur, has now become an MP. In such a situation, by-elections are to be held here as well. SP is trying to capture those out of the 10 seats that were with the BJP. After meeting Chief Minister Yogi, the equations may also become easier for the BJP in Phulpur. Pallavi, who was angry with the SP, had also contested the Lok Sabha elections by forming a PDM front. In such a situation, Akhilesh’s dream of winning Phulpur in the upcoming by-election may remain a dream. The distance from Sirathu to Phulpur is also around 94 kilometers.
Now it will be interesting to see what is the reaction of Pallavi Patel, Akhilesh Yadav, Anupriya Patel, Ashish Patel and Keshav Prasad Maurya after meeting CM Yogi Adityanath. New equations of UP politics are expected to be formed on the basis of their reactions.
