Union Budget 2024: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Tuesday urged the Prime Minister Narendra Modi The first budget of the third term of the Prime Minister was presented. The BJP government at the center is being targeted by the opposition parties regarding the budget. In this connection, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha MP Mahua Maji has also reacted. She said that MPs from many states are disappointed with the budget. I am also very disappointed that Jharkhand is a backward state, but there are so many minerals here that one state supplies it to the country.

Mahua Maji said that from coal to iron, all are precious minerals, but nothing special has been given in the budget for Jharkhand, whereas there were many problems faced by women like trafficking, witch-killing, unemployment problems. The state government is doing its work.

The JMM MP said that the coal royalty amount of Rs 1.36 lakh crore was received even after repeated requests. In such a situation, the state is short of money. In such a situation, if something special was given to the people of Jharkhand, they would have been happy, in fact, there were a lot of expectations from the budget. A lot of money was also needed for the railways, but it was not even talked about.

‘An attempt to please those with whose help the government was formed’
Mahua Maji further said that in this budget, an attempt has been made to please the same people with whose help the BJP government has been formed at the center. This kind of system should not be there in a country where there is democracy. That is why there is disappointment.

‘The greatest emphasis needed to be on education’
On the other hand, a post was made from Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s social media account X that to make Make in India a reality from a slogan, we needed to focus the most on education, but in the last 10 years we did the exact opposite and halved the education budget. The population of China and India is almost equal, but China is increasing its education budget every year and it spends more money on education than our total budget. We spend only 0.1% of our budget on research, which is just nominal. That is why today brain drain is the highest in our country. Beyond politics, the rulers of our country need to pay maximum attention to this issue so that the dream of a developed India by 2047 can be transformed into reality.
