Maharashtra Politics: Maharashtra Shiv Sena (Shiv Sena) chief Uddhav Thackeray on Thursday (June 27) launched a scathing attack on the BJP-led Centre and the ruling Mahayuti in Maharashtra. Along with this, he raised many issues including alleged irregularities in NEET and water leakage in Ayodhya Shri Ram temple. He termed it a ‘leakage government’. According to a PTI report, Uddhav Thackeray targeted the central and state governments, referring to the recent statement of Acharya Satyendra Das, the chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, about the NEET exam and water leakage in the Ayodhya temple. He said, “There are ‘leaky governments’ at the Center and the state because the exam papers (NEET) were leaked and Ram Mandir There is a water leak in the sanctum sanctorum. They have no shame.”

Center surrounded over water crisis

The Shiv Sena (UBT) chief accused the BJP-led Central government of being insensitive towards the water crisis in the country. Ahead of the state budget to be presented on Friday, Thackeray said the budget will be a “shower of assurances” but the government should also present a white paper on the promises fulfilled in the last two years. On reports that the state will launch a scheme for women on the lines of MP’s ‘Laadli Behna’ programme, Thackeray said a similar initiative should be launched for men too in view of rising unemployment in the state.
